hosting with ddos protection?

I'm now interested in finding possibly a VPS with ddos protection.
I only need basic protection, a 4 core CPU and 16GB of RAM and at least 40GB of Space, I have a budget of $40/month.
Have found centohost.com hosting. Can I rely on them? Any reviews or comments?
Other reliable hosting suggestions?

Have a look at plans from qhoster.com and asvhost.com as they are solid, reliable and trustworthy.
Their response for support and the performance of their service are fantastic.
The server speed is fast, the customer support is great.

Just started with cloudarion.com SSD VPS in Germany - and I am impressed from the start.
I moved my personal site to them and was so impressed with their service I ended up moving all my sites with the exception of one (it will be moved next week) to them.

ASVhost.com and planethoster.com servers are decent enough to stick to.
The price-quality ratio is among the best I've met. The server administration dashboard is a very nice and professional, which gives me a great experience. Quick response time! I highly recommend them.

The tech support is prompt and often the response will go above the level of information and assistance that I would expect to receive. Downtime has been almost non-existent.

It's true, many people aren't aware of how inexpensive web hosting is. The key is finding a web hosting provider that can provide excellent customer support.
